Executive Health’s clinical physiologist Professor Anders Melcher recently published a study in which he and the Karolinska Institutet examined the relationship between maximum effort performed during a stress-test and the size of the left atrium. Through his research, Professor Melcher was able to demonstrate that they are co-related.
Doing the ultrasound examination, I noted that many customers according to accepted standards had relatively large left atriums. I became curious and thus wanted to study this in relationship to their physical capacity on the stress-test a little bit further.
